How to start getting into game engine developing?
We all know that to get into video game development, you have to start making basic games and then make better games time after time. However, when it comes to making an engine, you can make a very simple game but I don't think you can make a very simple game engine (assuming here, correct me if I'm wrong)
Anyways, what would be the best way to get into game engine developing? I already have some experience working with Unity and C# and I have a okay understanding of the language. I'm willing to pick up C and C++ for this skill as I know engine developing probably requires those two.
