Where are the problems?
It seems that almost any advice about programming ends up with a "well, what are you interested in?". The thing is, I honestly have no idea. I don't have anything I want to automate. No software I want to develop. No issues a computer can solve. My interest in this field is rooted mostly in my personality (introvert, good at math, likes solving puzzles) and the desire for a stable well-paying job. So my question is, how do I know if this is the right path for me? The answer I see everywhere is "just start coding, man". Yeah… what?
Sorry for the slight rant and thanks for any direction you guys can provide.
