How does Youtube make custom Facebook share dialogs (with appropriate title, pic/vid, descriptions)?

See : http://ift.tt/2u4VHuc

All videos on Youtube are held at

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=somethingSomething

so they are in one page, as opposed to say…

https://www.youtube.com/watch/somethingSomething.html https://www.youtube.com/watch/somethingSomething2.html

I'm in the same boat as Youtube. I have content in one page, and I want to create a custom share for each .. thing.

This is something I've read (and even tested) that Facebook itself is stopping. ("Deprecated". "picture".) I've tested this on Facebook's own practice thingie and gotten shares to work as intended with custom titles, but again, in practice on my own site it does not work. I cannot change the title and I cannot change the picture. (I can change the URL however…)

What I'm seeing around is that Facebook wants to rely on meta tags of each page, but that limits me to one title and one picture per page. Again, my situation is I have tons of stuff on one page.

How does Youtube do it??? 😦
