I wanted to make a background program that watches when a certain window (eg Notepad.exe) and does something after. I know autohotkey can do this but preferably I wanted maybe a library or framework from a more mainstream/general programming language. I guess I can do it in C# and WIN32 api but why do that if autohotkey is more straightforward.
Also a pipe dream, but cross compatible with linux, but windows is fine since that is what I am using right now.
Is there a automation library from a general programming language available that functions similarly like Autohotkey/AutoIt?
